SAVANNA-LA-MAR, Westmoreland - The Westmoreland police have captured two Spanish Town men who were being sought by the St Catherine police in connection with last week's murder of eight persons in Tredegar Park, Spanish Town.
According to a police source, the men were captured during the police early morning operation in West End, Negril on Monday in which two of their cronies were killed in alleged gunbattle with the cops.
According to the usually reliable police source, one of the two men in custody is a former resident of Tredegar Park but switched allegiance to the Klansman Gang and moved to live in Lauriston, Spanish Town.
The other suspect is believed to a driver who transported the marauding gunmen to Tredegar Park where they assassinated five men and three women.
Tredegar Park has been under siege in recent years as a result of bloody feuds between the One Order and Klansman Gangs in the community, and in neighbouring Gravel Heights escalates.
Meanwhile, the police are inviting members of the public to identify the two other men who were killed by the cops at an apartment building in West End in the wee hours Monday morning.
According to a police source the Negril police, acting upon intelligence went to an apartment building in West End, Negril where they were told two Spanish Town gunmen were hiding.
Upon entering the premises, the police noticed that the front door was left ajar. The cops pushed the door wide open and saw two men watching television in the living room.
It is alleged that one of the men, upon seeing the police jumped for a gun and opened fire, forcing the police to take evasive action.
The fire was returned and the gunman was killed. His crony ran inside the kitchen where he armed himself with a knife and reportedly attacked a police who chased him. He was subsequently shot and killed by the cop.
